Divisions

LAKESHORE BASEBALL DIVISIONS:


T-Ball (Coed): Ages 4-6

The TeeBall program introduces players to the game of baseball including basic rules, sportsmanship, and the value of teamwork. Above all else, the focus is on fun! Batters hit off of a stationary tee.

TeeBall plays 2 days per week; either Tuesday/Saturday or Wednesday/Saturday, typically from 6:00 pm until about 7:00 pm during the week and 9:30 am on Saturdays (times can vary by coach).  You can enter your days of preference when completing the on-line registration. Practices generally start mid-April (weather and field conditions pending) and run through mid-June. The season includes approximately 8-10 games.

Players are typically in Pre-K and Kindergarten and must be age 4 by May 1st to participate.

Registration Fee: $100

Coach Pitch Baseball (Coed): Ages 6-8

Coach Pitch introduces hitting pitched balls and reinforces the fundamentals of baseball through teamwork and sportsmanship. Players will learn basic field set up and positioning, base running, and some of the more common game situations like throwing to first base for an out. Learn more at coach_pitch_rules_2015.pdf

Practices generally start mid-April (weather and field conditions pending) and run through mid-June. The season includes 12-15 games.

Players in this division are typically in 1st and 2nd Grade. Kindergarten students are eligible to participate depending on ability.

Registration Fee: $100

Minors Baseball (Boys): Ages 8-10

Minors baseball introduces player pitching and hard baseballs, while continuing to develop the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. Base stealing, sliding, tag-out plays, and more complex game situations are also taught for an overall more competitive experience. Learn more at minors rules - 3.2020.pdf

Practices start in early April and include some indoor practice depending on field conditions. The season runs through mid-June and includes 12-15 games. Practices and games generally occur on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

Players in this division are typically in 3rd and 4th Grade. Second Grade students are eligible to participate depending on ability.

Majors Baseball (Boys): Ages 10-12

Majors baseball continues to focus on fundamentals and introduces more advanced plays. Catching and pitching in particular, begin to have more influence on the game and the pace of play. Such things as signs and bunting are also taught as players prepare for future participation on school teams. Learn more at majors rules - 3.2020.pdf

Practices start in early April and include some indoor practice depending on field conditions. The season runs through mid-June and includes 12-15 games. Practices and games generally occur on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Players in this division are typically in 5rd and 6th Grade. Fourth Grade students are eligible to participate depending on ability.

LAKESHORE SOFTBALL DIVISIONS:

Coach Pitch Softball (Girls): 1st and 2nd Graders

Coach Pitch introduces hitting pitched balls and reinforces the fundamentals of softball through teamwork and sportsmanship. Players will learn basic field set up and positioning, base running, and some of the more common game situations like throwing to first base for an out.

Practices generally start mid-April (weather and field conditions pending) and run through mid-June. The season includes 12-15 games.

Players in this division are typically ages 6 and 7.

Registration Fee: $100

Minors Softball (Girls): 3rd and 4th Graders
Minors softball introduces player pitching, while continuing to develop the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. Effective baserunning, sliding, tag-out plays, and more complex game situations are also taught for an overall more competitive experience. Learn more at Marcellus Minors SB Rules

Practices generally start mid-April (weather and field conditions pending) and run through mid-June. The season includes 12-15 games.

Players in this division are typically ages 8, 9, and 10.

Majors Softball (Girls): 5th and 6th Graders
Majors softball continues to focus on fundamentals, while introducing more advanced plays (bunting, stealing, sliding) and is more competitive than Minors. Learn more at Marcellus Majors SB Rules

Players in this division are typically ages 11 and 12.
